A Personal Assistant / House Manager is sought to fully support a busy private estate in Herefordshire. The Principals are friendly, dynamic but meticulous, so this role would only suit a candidate with previous PA / EA or full-time operations experience.
The family are looking for someone who wants to engrain with the family long-term and enjoys reasonable diversity in their working life, as the position would encompass administration for both the domestic home and aspects of the working farm.
The position would be based on the Herefordshire estate, working from the Estate Office.
Role :
1. Monday to Friday, 9.00am-6.00pm, with flexibility to include evenings and weekends for urgent matters or emergencies
2. 21 days' holiday + Bank Holidays
3. Standard pension (NEST)
4. Start date: immediate
5. Up to £40,000 gross per annum, with salary dependent on candidate experience
Responsibilities :
This is a 360-degree role to support the Principals in all matters relating to their Herefordshire estate. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
6. Overseeing and managing all household utility providers
7. Paying of bills - keeping detailed paper trails and ledgers
8. Creating and maintaining filing systems
9. Overseeing / organising personal appointments as well as business appointments and maintaining the household calendar
10. Administrative and organisational support to the Principals and their employees where required
11. Farm business administration
12. Overseeing building works and external contractors, and being the point of contact on site
13. Liaising with the Principal’s EA and estate management team and wider estate staff to ensure the home runs seamlessly
14. Organising and overseeing on site events
15. Various household research projects
16. Undertaking all other usual PA duties relating to the house and estate
Skills :
17. Exceptionally organised, with an absolute eye for detail
18. Practical with good common sense
19. Discreet, will be required to sign a binding NDA
20. Enthusiastic, friendly, with a sense of humour

22. Ability to confidently handle multiple ongoing projects simultaneously
23. Efficient and always diligent

27. Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc
Experience and Attributes:
28. Ideally 3 years' PA or operations experience, preferably in high intensity position(s)
29. Proven extensive events, travel, and logistics planning
30. Complicated diary management
31. Experience working with and managing external contractors
32. Basic accountancy, including account reconciliation – understanding of Xero beneficial
33. An interest in the countryside and farming is preferable, but not essential
