If you have an interest in the provision of school meals for children of all ages, you could be perfect for this career. Why not join one of our many teams of Catering Assistants in Schools and Nurseries within Dunfermline and surrounding villages. We have several permanent and temporary vacancies to join our teams all working various hours per day as required, Monday to Friday.
Primary Schools
Crossgates
Crossgates Primary School – 1 post x 10 hours per week (2 hours per day as required), 38 week contract.
Rosyth
Camdean Primary School – 1 post x 10 hours per week (2 hours per day as required), 38 week contract.
Dunfermline
Carnegie Primary School – 1 post x 10 hours per week (2 hours per day as required), 38 week contract. This post is temporary for 1 year.
High Schools
Dunfermline
Queen Anne High School - 1 post x 10 hours per week (2 hours per day as required), 38 week contract.
Dunfermline Learning Centre – 1 post x 10 hours per week (2 hours per day as required), 38 week contract.
You will earn a competitive salary of £23,783.40 pro-rata and have access to a range of benefits, including:
We pay the Scottish Local Government Living Wage of £12.67 per hour for this post. plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends.
Pay is annualised (equal instalments every 4 week pay period).
Travel expenses will be paid – we pay 45 pence per mile to staff using their own car in mobile posts.

This work is about providing customer service, ensuring pupils and staff receive hot or cold meals every school day. You will go home each day knowing you have made a difference whether its Breakfast Club, Morning Break or Lunch you have served. On the job training is given working towards a Food Hygiene Certificate.
The Person
No specific qualification is required for this post as full training will be given.
You will be required to attend a full days Induction Training before starting in post.
Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme
