Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and maintenance of all areas of the home and grounds, performing preventative maintenance, and addressing any mechanical issues that arise. This role demands a strong understanding of health and safety and fire regulations, alongside excellent problem-solving skills.
Duties
1. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
2. Troubleshoot and repair items and equipment.
3. Painting and decorating.
4. Conducting fire checks and drills.
5. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
6. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or questions from staff and residents.
7. Collaborate with team members and contractors.
Experience
1. Proven experience in a maintenance role, with a strong background in both health and safety and fire regulations.
2. Demonstrated communication skills.
3. Proficient in reading and completing checks.
4. Strong mechanical knowledge, with hands-on experience in maintaining various types of machinery.
5. Basic gardening skills.
6. Excellent command of English, both written and verbal, for effective communication within the team and with customers.
7. Previous experience in a customer service role is an advantage, as it enhances interaction with staff regarding technical matters.
