We are working with a Secondary school in the heart of Waltham Forest and are on the hunt for a passionate graduate who has a strong passion for helping students manage their behaviour and support them with their mental health and well-being.

1. Liaising with psychological professionals as they support students
2. Supporting therapists and psychologists in their work, shadowing their support
3. As a core member of the pastoral team you will influence decisions based off your support of students' behaviour
4. Act as a mentor and guidance counsellor to students
5. Write reports based on student's SEMH progress
6. Managing student behaviour using your psychological knowledge

Job Description - Behaviour Specialist
1. Supervising KS3, KS4 and KS5 students in the internal isolation room
2. Providing structured supervision for students in the internal isolation room
3. Supporting therapists and psychologists in their work, shadowing their support
4. Act as a mentor and guidance counsellor to students
5. Write reports based on student's SEMH progress
6. Managing student behaviour using your psychological knowledge
7. Reporting back to SLT and the Pastoral Team
8. Monday to Friday 8:00am-4pm
9. £105 - £110 per day - Paid Weekly
10. September 2024 start (for the full academic year)
11. Located in Waltham Forest

Candidate Specification - Behaviour Specialist
1. Experience as a Teaching Assistant
2. Strong passion for working with students on their academia and mental health
3. Enthusiasm and creativity to inspire children with learning
4. The ability to write cogently and fluently with correct spelling and punctuation
5. Patience, kindness, flexibility, good humour and the ability to work as part of a team
6. Professional attitude and approach to work
