The post-holder will be producing high-quality 2D/3D annotations for data produced by a self-driving capable vehicle driving in the city streets of Edinburgh. These annotations will provide ground-truth information for machine learning algorithms, contributing to our research and development efforts to develop safe human-centred AI for assistive autonomy.
This post will be part of the Centre for AI for Assistive Autonomy, a mission-driven research centre established using a UKRI Turing AI World Leading Researcher Fellowship awarded to Prof Subramanian Ramamoorthy.
This post is advertised as part-time (16 hours per week),and we are open to considering flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
Your skills and attributes for success:
A university degree (first or higher).
Experience producing 2D/3D annotations for autonomous driving.
Familiarity with specific annotation toolchains, e.g. Segments.ai
Familiarity with sensor output formats, such as for multi-camera and LIDAR units.
Demonstrated experience of self-management and productively working towards tight deadlines.
