Systems Analyst - Operational Applications We are seeking a Systems Analyst - Operational Applications to join our dynamic team and support the Operational Service Owner in the delivery of BAU service management and change across a portfolio of critical applications. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to thrive in an agile, fast-paced environment focused on business change and continuous improvement, while ensuring service stability. This is a Hybrid role based at Tachbrook Park, Warwick, requiring a minimum of 2 days per week in the office. In this role, you will support a wide range of key applications across operational functions, including: Transportation management and scheduling (ORTEC & Paragon), and on-board software in our vehicles (ATON) Electronic Data Interchange (TrueCommerce) Telemetry (GasLog) Fuel management (TriScan) Operational printing (Adare) You will collaborate with business and technical teams across Calor’s functions, and your strong communication skills will be key in translating technical issues to non-technical users. Key Responsibilities: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective system solutions. Support the investigation and resolution of incidents, defects, and problems in partnership with third-party support providers. Assist in the definition, scheduling, and monitoring of changes delivered by delivery partners. Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and recommend preventative measures. Assist in the testing and deployment of system upgrades and enhancements. Provide training and support to end-users to ensure the efficient use of systems. Review changes to ensure consistency with agreed-upon approaches, service design, and specifications, ensuring smooth interaction across systems. Work with Solution Architects and the Service Owner to ensure changes are transitioned into BAU service effectively and securely. Support project teams, including managing work packages under the continuous improvement change programme and contributing to test and delivery plans. Key Skills, Experience & Knowledge: Essential: Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data clearly. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Desirable: Experience working with third-party providers and outsourced support models. Understanding of ITIL Service Management, Software Lifecycle Management, and Release Management. Workshop facilitation experience. Experience working within a heavily integrated SAP environment. Co-ordination with Other Professionals: In this role, you will work closely with: The Service Owner to support application management, support, and changes delivered by third-party suppliers. Solution Architects to ensure alignment of solutions and changes with strategic goals and security requirements. Business Process Owners and Analysts to understand business pain points and drive change. Teams managing other application portfolios to resolve cross-portfolio incidents. Product vendors and Support & Change Delivery Partners to ensure effective delivery of changes, enhancements, and continuous improvements.
