About the Role:
* Deliver engaging and challenging Geography lessons across Key Stages 3-5, including GCSE and A-Level Geography.
* Develop and implement lesson plans that incorporate a variety of geographical concepts, techniques, and applications, encouraging students to develop their geographical knowledge, understanding, and skills.
* Facilitate student-led research projects, fieldwork, and presentations, encouraging geographical inquiry, analysis, and communication skills.
* Assess student progress through written assignments, projects, fieldwork reports, and examinations, providing detailed and constructive feedback.
* Contribute to the development and enhancement of the Geography curriculum, ensuring it aligns with current geographical scholarship and best practices in geography education.
* Organize and lead extracurricular activities, such as geography clubs, fieldwork trips, and participation in geography competitions, to enhance student learning and provide opportunities for students to explore their interests.
Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong academic background in Geography or a related field.
* Extensive experience teaching Geography to GCSE and A-Level, with a focus on both physical and human geography.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
* A passion for fostering a love of geography and developing geographical skills in young people.
* Knowledge of a wide range of geographical concepts, techniques, and applications.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to the wider life of the school.
