We are seeking a Diagnostic Engineer, a key role in our Technical Publications team. As a Diagnostic Engineer, you will work as part of a small team, with responsibility for all aspects of our class-leading diagnostic software, including everything from routine calibration updates to the implementation and roll-out of major software revisions. You will work alongside our suppliers to deliver software to specification, on time and on budget. The role will include regular (monthly) UK travel.
Suitable candidates will have the following skills and experience:
* Ability to analyse and simplify complex problems and explain complex technical solutions to non-technical staff.
* Self-motivated with strong organisational and time management skills to successfully handle multiple tasks and prioritise own workload as required.
* Self-motivated and resilient. Flexible and adaptable. Able to take instruction and work under pressure. Excellent communication skills, clear and concise written and verbal skills.
* Understanding of OBD, automotive diagnostics and automotive electrical systems (including CAN, K-line and other communication protocols), CDD and ODX.
* Experience of diagnostic software engineering with an automotive OEM.
* Extensive knowledge of automotive diagnostic systems and test routines, including diagnostic software communication protocols.
* Previous experience of working within an automotive/manufacturing environment.
