5 days a week 3:30pm - 5:30pm Supply Heroes are working with a Chelmsley Wood based School who are looking for a Cleaner to join them as soon as possible. The role will be available on a temporary basis for the duration of the calander year and there is the possibility of a permanent role. The school are looking for a hard-working and self-motivated person who will be able to ensure all school areas and grounds are maintained and cleaned. The cleaner will provide assistance to the teaching staff and ensure facilities and equipment comply with Health and Safety regulations. Some of the daily duties of this role will include
* Cleaning classrooms, hallways, and common areas to maintain a clean and safe environment for students and staff.
* Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors to ensure cleanliness throughout the school.
* Cleaning and disinfecting toilets, sinks, and other restroom facilities to ensure hygiene standards are maintained.
* Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately, including recycling where applicable.
* Dusting and wiping down surfaces, including desks, windowsills, and fixtures.
* Maintaining cleaning equipment (e.g., mops, vacuum cleaners) and ensuring it is in good working order.
* Ensuring that cleaning products are stored safely and according to health and safety guidelines.
* Responding to any immediate cleaning needs during the school day, such as spills or accidents.
* Restocking cleaning supplies when necessary, ensuring there is always an adequate supply.
* Supporting the setup and breakdown of special events or school activities by providing cleaning support.
To be considered for this role the successful candidate will
* Previous experience in cleaning, especially in a public or institutional setting, is highly desirable. This could include experience in schools, hospitals, offices, or other commercial buildings.
* Knowledge of various cleaning methods, tools, and chemicals used in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.
* The ability to spot areas that need cleaning or maintenance, ensuring that every area is properly cleaned and sanitized.
* Understanding of health and safety regulations related to cleaning, including the safe use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
* Ability to follow cleaning protocols that meet hygiene standards, particularly in places frequented by children.
