The successful candidate will either provide a clerking service to the local Governing Body at Richard Wakefield C of E Primary or Granville Academy.
The Candidate
We are currently seeking to appoint a Clerk to Governors to join our team who is professional, personable and efficient.
The Clerk's main role is to provide professional clerking services to the local Governing Body, and any panels. You will:
* Provide a full clerking service to the Local Governing Body;
* Be able to take accurate minutes from your own notes and then produce well-presented minutes for distribution;
* Collate and distribute agendas and associated paperwork in advance of meetings;
* Be able to take minutes at a minimum of 4 LGB meetings throughout the year. Meetings will normally take place in the evenings;
* Be available to clerk any panels as and when required;
* Provide procedural and legal advice and guidance with the support of the Governance and Compliance Manager;
* Maintain accurate records.
Experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided. a positive attitude to personal development and training with a flexible approach to working hours would be welcomed.

The successful candidatewill need excellent administration and communication skills, with experience of minute taking. Youwill need good interpersonal and organisation skills and be competent in the use of Microsoft software and email.
Preparation and attendance of evening meetings will be payable on an hourly rate. Thisis usually approximately 7 hours per meeting.
