Balfour Beatty VINCI is proud to be designing and building a 90KM stretch of the West Midlands section of HS2. We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Data Analyst within the Project Management Office.
This role will be based on site in Coleshill. Our head office is located within an excellent location easily accessible via the M6 and M42. The office is also accessible via rail, and we offer employees a shuttle bus transfer to our office from Birmingham International.
Role Description:
Working as a Data Analyst Apprentice, your role will be to provide assistance in data handling and analysis in the Project Management Office (PMO) department.
Accountabilities:
1. Timely and accurate reporting of measures and metrics for programme management.
2. Creating weekly production update reports for the whole project.
3. Effectively using required IT systems to gather timely and accurate reporting on programme performance.
4. Implementing and monitoring compliance against processes and standards of the project, including HS2 requirements.
5. Supporting the team in gathering data for month-end reports.
6. Developing analytical skills to analyse data, identify trends and performance improvement measures.
Skills/Experience:
1. An interest in managing data sourced from databases and Excel.
2. An interest in learning the construction industry, methods of construction, plant equipment, and labour requirements.
3. Strong communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.
4. Excellent written skills including spelling and grammar are essential.
Entry Requirements:
1. Maths, English Grades 9-4/A-C or equivalent.

Balfour Beatty VINCI have been awarded a 90km section of the HS2 project from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and on to Handsacre in Staffordshire. Overall, we will be building the following across all our sites:
1. 42 viaducts totalling over 11km
2. More than 35 cuttings reaching over 30km
3. 56 culverts
4. 66 embankments reaching over 33km
5. Building four motorway crossings requiring box structures
6. Six interfaces with the existing rail requiring both dive-under and overbridge structures
