Child Development Practitioner
Band 4 - £26,530 - £29,114
Hours – 2 posts available part time/ full time

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Child Development Practitioners to join our 0-19 Service. This role is crucial in supporting children, young people, and families by promoting health, wellbeing, and developmental progress.
You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care, assessments, and interventions tailored to individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide developmental assessments and interventions for children aged 0-8.
* Support families with tailored advice and guidance on child development.
* Collaborate with health visitors, school nurses, and other professionals to ensure holistic care.
* Facilitate group sessions and one-to-one support for children and parents.
* Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns following local policies and procedures.
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
Essential Criteria:
* Relevant qualification in Child Development, Early Years, Health, or Social Care (e.g., NVQ Level 3, degree in relevant field).
* Experience working with children, young people, and families in a developmental or health-related setting.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
* A valid driving license and access to a vehicle may be required.
Desirable Criteria:
* Experience in multi-agency working.
* Additional training in child health, development, or family support.
* Understanding of the Healthy Child Programme.
