We support adults with learning disabilities and vulnerable adults in the community to live a fulfilled and enriched life. We support people all over Wales and the support we provide is person centred and ensures choice and control. We want to work with the best people with the best skills and who demonstrates our values to: Be “remarkable every day” Location: Bangor, Gwynedd Hours: Part time 16 hours per week, this is a mix of weekdays, weekends and sleep in shifts available Salary: £12.74 per hour and our sleep-in shifts at £60 per night Contract: Permanent Interviews: We are looking to interview as soon as possible so would encourage you to apply at the earliest opportunity What you’ll be doing: In this role you’ll be supporting females with varying learning difficulties. You’ll encourage the people we support to make their own choices about everyday things such as what to wear, what to do, what to eat, as well as bigger decisions such as where to live, how to spend their money or where to go on holiday. You’ll enable them to be able to fulfil those choices, including structured activities to develop their confidence and skills. This will involve pick up and drop off to day services that facilitate and support the inclusion of people with a disability into all aspect of community life and help them to achieve their maximum potential. This role involves personal care. This a really is a fun and rewarding role for the right person. Who we're looking for: No experience is required, full training is provided, and we’d love to hear from you if you: are female to support the needs of this service have patience and empathy can support a person with their intimate personal care with respect and dignity have strong communication and teamwork skills are able to speak on behalf of others as well as to a range of professional people have good written skills and the ability to record events with empathy and meaning You’ll also have a UK drivers’ licence. The ability to drive is essential for this role as you’ll be driving the people we support own cars.
