Main duties of the job
Department: Community Rehabilitation Services; Dietetics
Salary: Band 6 - Permanent Contract
Hours: 37.5 hours. Flexible working, Part-time considered (minimum 22.5 hours).
You will be responsible for:
1. Your own caseload of patients who require specialist gastro advice or oral nutrition support in the community offering holistic person-centred care.
2. Joint working with Speech and Language therapists and other AHP's, Social care and Nursing colleagues.
3. Offering a hybrid approach including telephone/video, outpatient clinics and home visits as needed.
4. Supporting student placements (A, B and C placements).
5. Planning and delivering training (internal and external).
6. Triage of new diet referrals.
7. Supervision of colleagues.
8. Service innovation and development based on the latest evidence-based information.
9. Involvement in clinical trials and audit.
