Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team to help the Registered Manager with the workload. You will be assisting the Manager with various tasks such as Care Plans, Assessments, Care Reviews, and other duties as required. It is important that candidates have at least 2 years of nursing experience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care, demonstrating both clinical expertise and exceptional interpersonal skills. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in assessing patient needs, developing care plans and risk assessments, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
1. Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ health status and medical histories.
2. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans based on patient needs.
3. Develop and maintain Risk Assessments and other client documentation.
4. Conduct audits.
5. Perform care reviews.
6. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
7. Monitor patients’ progress and respond to changes in their condition promptly.
8. Educate patients and their families on health management and disease prevention.
9. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
10. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with regulations.
11. Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Requirements
1. Valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
2. A degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
3. Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
4. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
5. A compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
6. Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently when required.
7. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential; newly qualified nurses are encouraged to apply.
8. Experience in writing detailed care plans and risk assessments.
9. Experience in conducting care reviews.
10. Experience working in the social sector, particularly in Domiciliary Care, will be a distinct advantage.
