Robert Half are partnered with a leading manufacturing business based in Fife with the recruitment of a Finance Business Partner role. The primary focus of the role is to enhance the performance of designated business areas by delivering in-depth financial analysis and actively engaging with Operations and Commercial teams to influence, challenge, and assist them. You will be responsible for maintaining financial integrity and control within these sectors, ensuring adherence to applicable regulations governing management and financial reporting. This role is suited to an experienced, commercially minded accountant. Key responsibilities: Offer robust and proactive financial support to site managers and senior management, ensuring a clear understanding of performance against targets and strategies for improvement (e.g., Adjusted EBITDA, Free Cash Flow, CAPEX). Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records for site entities, covering income statements, balance sheets, and cash flows. Prepare monthly financial reports according to set timelines, including management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and investment evaluations for sites and the broader Energy finance portfolio. Present findings to the Head of Finance Operations for review. Uphold financial accuracy and integrity, adhering to policies and standards, and fostering strong controls and governance. Collaborate with external auditors when necessary. Identify potential risks and opportunities impacting business performance, collaborating with senior management to mitigate risks and optimise opportunities, while monitoring performance and driving results. Explore growth prospects such as fuel supply contracts, assessing financial viability of projects and acquisitions, and conducting ongoing return on investment assessments and post-project evaluations. Spearhead continuous business and process enhancements, particularly in financial systems, performance reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and related processes like Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and inventory management. Lead a team and engage in regular site visits. Cultivate a positive mindset focused on continual improvement, personal growth, and team development. Undertake additional projects as needed. Requirements CA, ACCA, CIMA qualified, or equivalent professional qualification Proficiency in management accounting with a robust aptitude for business analysis.
