Pharmacy Assistant - Band 2
Aseptic Service, Pharmacy Department, Aberdeen Royal Infirmary
37 hours per week - Core hours Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm
Weekend/Public Holiday working will be required on a rota basis.
The Pharmacy assistant will be part of the aseptic team who are required to provide accurate, high quality, time dependant medicine for patients with specific medical conditions.
Duties will include:
1. Stock control
2. Stock rotation
3. Filing of paperwork
4. Dispensing of prescriptions
5. Setting up medicine trays required for aseptic dispensing
6. Environmental monitoring
7. Cleaning within the aseptic area rooms
8. Packaging and packing items for onward transport
9. Completion of documentation electronically and written
Applicants should be conscientious, reliable and have an interest in healthcare services. Pharmacy Services Level 2 will be required to be attained.
