We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Southwark to assist with the appointment of a Technical Quality Officer, on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £21.70 - £28.40 per hour
Responsibilities:
* Respond to and resolve customer problems in the day to day operation of the contracts, including preparation of condition survey reports and agreement of action plans with contractors and consultants as required.
* Undertake regular equipment inspections, including playground equipment, for health and safety and statutory compliance, including notification of defects and health and safety issues, maintaining appropriate records and arranging for remedial repairs where necessary.
* Using experience and professional expertise provide specific examples which contribute towards a planned maintenance strategy with the aim of improving the ongoing condition of the housing stock and improving the split between planned and reactive repair and maintenance works.
* Utilise handheld or other wireless technology for communication, data entry, data access or reporting.
* Attend Tenants and Resident Association and Area meetings/inspections, as directed.
* Management of the Councils housing stock ensuring compliance with relevant fire safety and Health and Safety requirements.
Qualification & Experience:
* HNC Building studies or equivalent, or be working toward that qualification or have extensive appropriate experience.
* Experience of dealing with the public, resolving queries/problems or giving advice.
* Experience in diagnosing complex building defects and producing specifications for repair.
* Experience of managing contractors in a repairs environment.
