LV Authorised person required for a leading offshore substation developer, for a offshore contract starting ASAP!.
Job Role: LV AEP (Authorized Electrical Person)
Day rate: outside IR35
Rotation: 21/21 on/off
Duration: ASAP - November 2025
Job role:
* LV AEP is responsible for the entire scope of offshore completion activities, acting under the direction and on behalf of the OIM offshore.
* He defines the site works strategy, leads the site teams, and manages the execution of the project scope of work.
* He ensures that Safety, Quality comply with contractual obligations, company policy and local regulation.
* LV AEP has the authority and/ responsibility to:
* Coordinate the execution of the work on the platform. Work includes hook-up works, electrical works, inspections, maintenance and assembly work onboard platform;
* Establish priorities in works to be carried out together with OIM in order to meet schedule target dates. These decisions are made with respect to safety and applicable SHE rules for the crew, the Platform and the environment;
* Report to OIM on daily basis;
* Stop the work in case of non-compliance with Safety management plan principles and CDM 2015 regulation;
* Prevent and minimize the potential leading to accidents from occurring; Restrict the extent of existing damage;
* Ensure After Action Reviews, Lessons learned and pre operational planning is captured in a structured manner;
* Authorizes electrical works to proceed in platform and other subcontractors.
* LV AEP shall contribute and aim to:
* Enhance safety and environmental awareness of the entire crew;
* Create a positive working attitude and atmosphere between all crew, Client and Contractor;
* Good cooperation and coordination between all departments;
* Promote proposals to the head administration, together with department heads, that can make operations more efficient;
* Fulfill all relevant requirements from Authorities, Client, Contractor and shore management;
* LV AEP is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Platform in all aspects of the Platform's functions and operations.
* The M&E completion manager and AEP shall suggest and establish preventive actions to avoid incidents and accidents.
* LV AEP shall approve all electrical works in line with regulatory and compliance requirements. He shall not approve electrical works to proceed otherwise.
Qualifications -
* Electrical NVQ qualification or equivalent HUET – Training
* Offshore Medical Certificate (GWO) Work at Height training (GWO)
* Fire Fighting (GWO) Manual Handling (GWO) Sea Survival (GWO)
* First Aid (GWO) Offshore Medical Certificate (e.g. UKOG or GWO etc.)
* First Aid Medical certificate (including AED)
* Experience Several years of electrical engineering offshore
* Several years of completion works offshore
Required Skills -
* Fluent in spoken and written English
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Strong leadership skills
* Very strong awareness of quality and HSE requirements
* Flexibility, teamwork skills, good social skills and ability to work under pressure
* Structure, independent, analytical and goal-orientated work methods
