The post holder will provide middle grade surgeon support to the Consultants and SHO including clinical work and operating lists, at times independent of direct supervision. To work to sustain the provision of an efficient Anaesthetic service to patients, including ensuring, in conjunction with colleagues, the highest quality of care is provided to each individual patient in meeting and delivering its local and national targets. SAS colleagues in Anaesthetics also form part of the 2nd on call rota covering Maternity and ITU and on occasions 1st on Call.
