Our client is a leader in providing repairs, installations, and engineering consultancy services in heavy engineering. Clients span industries such as power generation, petro-chemical, aggregate, utilities, large process plants, and logistics. They are now looking to recruit a qualified and experienced Technical Sales Engineer / Estimator to sell our company's M&E services. The role requires a strong background in estimating, as well as procuring new business opportunities in both the manufacturing and fabricating workshop, and field service activities.
Duties:
* Attend customer sites to scope, measure, and qualify materials from engineering drawings and specifications producing quotations, pricing, and tender bids.
* Manage client relationships maintaining communication with clients throughout the process.
* Follow sales action plans and strategies to achieve monthly sales targets.
* Resolve customer complaints effectively.
* Conduct proactive sales calls to generate more sales.
* Attend weekly sales meetings.
* Promote the business brand consistently.
* Ensure timely delivery of information.
Experience:
* Must have experience in sales/estimation within a similar engineering or manufacturing environment.
* Ability to produce quotations and conceptual designs/sketches is essential.
* Must have great communication skills, highly literate and numerate, with commercial acumen.
* Must have confidence in dealing directly with decision makers and customers.
* Proficiency in CRM, CAD software, and other sales tools along with Microsoft Office applications.
* Flexible and adaptive to changing requirements.
* Must have a focus on quality and the ability to emphasize its importance.
* An understanding of technical drawings, manufacturing methods, and engineering principles is required.
* Industry experience in machining and fabrication services would be desirable.
* Ability to strengthen customer relationships and develop new business opportunities is preferable.
* Skilled in producing presentations to promote new products and services.
* Competence in compiling quotations and sales specifications.
Benefits:
* Salary: £40,000 - £50,000.
