The Operations Manager will work closely with the Broker Support Services (BSS) and Client Support Services (CSS) teams in the IMEA regions, overseeing their operational functions. This role is crucial for delivering high-quality services to clients while optimising processes and enhancing operational efficiency across the regions.
In this position, you will report to the IMEA Operations Director in Dubai and the IMEA Executive team to foster effective, efficient, and proactive operational excellence. You will ensure that all outcomes align with the overall strategic objectives of the business unit. Additionally, this role requires you to travel to the Dubai office early in your tenure and to other locations across the IMEA region as needed.
We will count on you to:
* Supporting IMEA Operations Director on key strategic initiatives across the region.
* Maintaining relationships between the regional business unit and key stakeholders in other locations including senior Legal, Compliance, Finance, HR, Operations, Technology and Project colleagues
* Consistently working to enhance and improve existing policies and procedures and develop the operating platform for the regional business.
* Supporting a culture of continuous process improvement and operational excellence.
* Oversight of Regional BSS Leads and working with them to monitor and manage adherence to Professional Standards, Quality Assurance reviews etc.
* Alongside IMEA Operations Director, responsible for managing and maintaining relationship between the business and CSS.
* Ongoing monitoring of and interrogation of MI from CSS to ensure all functions undertaken by CSS (risk capture, premium collection and recon, credit control etc) are completed in line with agreed SLA’s.
* Production of reports/MI for Senior Management and wider business areas on an ad hoc basis
* Liaising with colleagues across multiple locations including London, Dubai, South Africa, Saudi Arabia and India
* Supporting where required, all IMEA offices for operational office matters, including office space, IT etc.
* Local regulatory Compliance functions/tasks in relation to IMEA offices when required.
What you need to have:
* A bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management or have relevant experience.
* Comparable experience in operations management, preferably in Broking or underwriting environments.
* Some understanding of the IMEA market dynamics and client service expectations.
* The ability to manage and motivate teams, whether in project settings or by influencing and guiding individuals to embrace necessary changes that will transform operational functions.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
* Proficiency in relevant software and tools for operations management and reporting.
