Job Overview
Mental Health Services Nationally are undergoing significant transformation under the Community Mental Health Framework.
You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of physical health care for service users. You are expected to be a good team worker and have the ability to supervise, teach and develop the physical health care skills of the junior members of the team.
Extensive knowledge of running a clinic is required, alongside physical health monitoring such as ECG's, Venepuncture, and escalation of physical health concerns to the appropriate staff.
As part of the Band 6 Nursing team you will be required to attain a mentoring qualification.
Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
* Carry out and coordinate comprehensive, systematic nursing assessments which take account of relevant mental, physical, social, cultural, psychological, spiritual, and environmental factors.
* You will also be required to write tribunal reports, attendance at CPA meetings, and Tribunal meetings.
* Work collaboratively with other disciplines, service users, and their carers to agree a holistic person-centred care plan.
* To deliver and evaluate safe, person-centred care in partnership with the service user and their carers to support recovery.
* To act as a clinical leader supporting best practice in line with NICE guidance.
* To facilitate and review approved Quality Improvement initiatives within the care setting.
