Support & Empower a Child with SEND in a Thriving Primary School Are you a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a lasting impact in a child’s educational journey? We are seeking a full-time 1:1 SEN TA to work closely with a child with autism (ASC) and communication needs in our inclusive and welcoming primary school in Hounslow. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about helping children with additional needs overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, and develop independence. Your Responsibilities Will Include: Providing 1:1 tailored support for a child with autism (ASC) and communication difficulties, adapting activities to suit their individual learning style. Assisting with daily routines, emotional regulation, and behaviour management strategies. Using visual schedules, structured routines, and sensory tools to support engagement. Working closely with class teachers, external specialists, and parents to ensure a holistic approach to the child’s education. Encouraging social skills, independence, and self-confidence in a safe and supportive environment. Monitoring progress and adapting strategies to ensure continued growth. What We’re Looking For: Experience working with children with SEND (either in a school, nursery, or care setting). A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach to learning support. A strong understanding of autism-friendly teaching methods and behaviour support techniques (training will be provided if needed). Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative in supporting the child’s needs. A desire to make a real difference in a child’s educational experience.
