There is a welcoming and inclusive primary school with a strong community ethos. They are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support learning in their Year 2/3 class. Duties as a Year 2/3 Teaching Assistant:
* Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality teaching and learning
* Work with groups or individual pupils to reinforce learning across the curriculum
* Assist with classroom management and organisation
* Provide targeted support for pupils with additional needs, including SEND
* Help prepare learning materials and set up engaging classroom activities
* Promote positive behaviour and support children’s emotional wellbeing
* Contribute to a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
* Support assessment and record-keeping as directed by the class teacher
* Work in partnership with parents, carers and external agencies where appropriate
* Engage in wider school life, including events and enrichment activities
Ideal Year 2/3 Teaching Assistant:
* Experience working with primary-aged children, ideally in KS1 or Lower KS2
* TA Qualification NVQ Level 3.
* A nurturing, patient and positive approach
* The ability to build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff
* Good communication and teamwork skills as a Year 2/3 Teaching Assistant.
* A flexible and proactive attitude to supporting learning needs
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
