Up to £35,000 dependent on experience It’s an exciting time to join our People team at AXA UK&I, as we onboard several new systems and update all associated guidance and communications. As part of this, we’re looking for a talented individual to join our team for a 12-month fixed term contract. As an Employee Experience Copywriter, you’ll join our small (but mighty) project team. Reporting to the Head of Employer Brand, you’ll work closely with the wider Employer Brand and User Experience team, to simplify and speed up how our people navigate internal systems to access information. You’ll review our current communications and colleague guidance documents, and then redesign in line with our Employer Brand look, feel and tone of voice. If you're ruthless about removing waffle, business jargon and internal ‘marketing speak’ and replacing with clear, concise engaging communications, this role is for you. At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at our Glasgow office, visiting clients or attending industry events. We’re also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition. What you’ll be doing: Develop copy and simple design to support digital customer journeys. Collaborate with our User Experience team and E-Communications team, ensuring you understand the restrictions and limitations of internal systems and templates. Apply our Employer Brand look, feel and tone of voice across new HR systems including the messaging hierarchy for guidance documents, FAQs and more. Apply our brand tone of voice, with an emphasis on simplifying our communications for operational teams and line managers who are time poor and often unfamiliar with HR processes. Act as an expert in brand tone of voice and use of language for teams with limited communications expertise, helping them to apply our brand on a day-to-day basis using templates and toolkits. Use your eye for detail and express your ‘point of view’ on what good looks like. Due to the number of applications we expect to receive for this role, we reserve the right to close this advert earlier than the listed closing date to ensure we’re able to effectively manage interest. Therefore, if you’re interested in joining us at AXA, please don’t hesitate to apply. What you’ll bring: Proven copywriting experience beyond marketing and advertising communications is essential. This would suit someone from and editorial or publishing background who understands digital channels and customer journeys. Experience translating complex technical information into clear and concise copy for non-technical audiences – essential. Fluent in applying brand guidelines, including tone of voice, across a range of formats – essential. Persuasive communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Project management and organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. Comfortable working at pace, collaborating whilst being delivery and deadline focussed. Competent working under pressure whilst retaining a sense of perspective, not afraid to ask for help. Ability to navigate and understand different internal audience needs and perspectives. Experience writing for systems or process communications would be beneficial. Internal candidates are encouraged to apply for this role as a secondment opportunity through the internal careers site. As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
