About the Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in the smooth running of the school by providing classroom supervision in the absence of teachers. Working across a range of subjects, you will deliver pre-prepared lesson plans, maintain classroom discipline, and support students with their learning. Key Responsibilities
Supervising classes and ensuring students stay engaged with the provided work.
Managing classroom behavior in line with school policies and ensuring a safe learning environment.
Providing guidance and support to students during lessons.
Assisting with administrative tasks and supporting school events as required.
Person Specification
Previous experience in a school or youth setting is desirable but not essential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to students and staff.
Adaptable and able to respond effectively to various classroom situations.
A genuine interest in supporting young people's education.
Requirements
Minimum educational qualifications: GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent); further education is an advantage.
Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one prior to starting).
