Are you an enthusiastic individual with a passion for working with children? If so we are looking for an Active Play Community Lead, to join our friendly and professional team. We are looking for someone who is able to make sure that the children have an enjoyable visit and not afraid to join in with the activities available. Our Active Play sessions run every day during the school holidays and they are play sessions that run from various green spaces across Arun. Sessions are aimed at children aged 5-12 years old and their families.
Along with your other team members, you will be responsible for the following:
* Liaising with local parish and town councils where sessions are held
* Setting up and taking down play equipment for each session
* Complete health and safety checks before each session
* Operation of the sessions, including originating and implementing a varied activity programme and encourage children to take part
* Co-ordinate and supervise the children, ensuring their safety during the activities.
* To carry out all duties in accordance with Normal Operating Procedures and Emergency Action Plans.
* Maintaining high standards of hygiene
* Manage customer queries, comments and complaints
* Ensuring the highest level of duty of care and customer service at all times
* We are looking for someone who can interact positively with all children and young people attending the sessions, so that they have an enjoyable and positive experience

Successful applicants must be over 25 years of age, with a full clean driving licence as driving our Active Play van will be an essential part of the role.
* Experience of working in a self motivated and proactive manner
* Experience of delivering excellent customer service
* Experience of working directly with customers, especially with children
* Be confident in leading children of varying age through group activity
* Be confident asserting yourself in front of a large group of people
* Excellent communication skills and personal presentation, with a genuine desire to work with customers to ensure they have an enjoyable experience
* Drive, energy and enthusiasm
* Team orientated approach, able to work across organisation boundaries and demonstrate interest and be supportive of the work of colleagues
* Flexible and adaptable
