Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Veterinary Nurse looking to join a well-established, independent practice in the heart of South West Wales?
Our client is seeking an RVN to become a valued member of their team of 10 nurses, who provide a wide range of nursing services within a busy, modern small animal department. The role will involve consultations, inpatient care, animal handling, sample collection, anaesthetic monitoring, lab work, and much more, offering a varied and rewarding day-to-day experience.
With a long-standing history of providing expert veterinary care in Pembrokeshire since 1950, the practice has grown into a two-site operation and is committed to maintaining high clinical standards and excellent customer service. The practice continuously invests in staff, facilities, and equipment to meet evolving targets, having recently upgraded their main site to include four consulting rooms, a dedicated cat room, quiet room, separate wards for dogs, cats, and isolation, as well as a central prep room leading to two sterile theatres. Additional facilities include a dental room, an X-ray suite, and a fully equipped lab for haematology, biochemistry, and urinalysis.
The practice also prides itself on being a nurse training practice and is on its way to achieving a hospital-level standard at its main site. They have achieved ISFM cat-friendly status, with gold accreditation at the main practice and bronze at the second.
The role is full time, offering up to 37.5 hours per week. Nurses are expected to contribute equally to the on-call rota, supporting a team of 11 small animal vets. With practice hours running from 8:00am to 6:30pm Monday to Thursday, 8:00am to 5:30pm on Friday, and 8:00am to 1:00pm on Saturday, on-call work is minimal as calls are diverted to MiNightVet between 10:00pm and 8:00am.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Veterinary Nurse to join a progressive and well-equipped practice. If you are looking to further your career in a dynamic and supportive environment, please get in touch to discuss this opportunity further.
