Guitarguitar are looking for a member of staff to join our team in the company’s Warehouse in Linwood.
About The Role:
This is a role at the hub of our growing online business; picking, packing and shipping online orders direct to our customers, handling deliveries of every size from a single box to a 40ft container, dispatching stock to our six stores nationwide as well as maintaining and managing our vast inventory of stock.
A Successful Candidate Will Have:
* significant experience working in a Warehousing, logistics or fulfilment environment
* excellent communication skills
* good working knowledge of the types of stock we specialise in
* good understanding of the fundamentals of safe working practices and Health and Safety
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
* Efficient and accurate picking of customer orders.
* Neatly packing customer orders prior to shipping.
* Labeling customer orders and sorting packages into carrier order.
* Completing branch order pick fulfillment.
* Ensure customer/store order pick/pack targets are completed and KPI’s are achieved.
* Handling and sorting transfers from stores and/or suppliers.
* Safe operation of conveyors and manual handling equipment within the LDC.
* Efficient and accurate checking of goods onto or from vehicles.
* Receiving goods into guitarguitar stock.
* Moving and relocating stock within the distribution centre.
* Assisting with stock counts and/or carrying out bin location checks.
* Handling and checking the condition of returns from customers.
* Communicating with suppliers, arranging returns, exchanges and repairs.
* Labeling and sorting of goods being returned to the manufacturer.
* Maintain communication with relevant guitarguitar departments e.g. Trade It, Sell It, Purchasing, Online Team and guitarguitar branches.
* Completing any relevant documents, reports and forms.
* Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times and that any faults found are reported immediately to the management team.
* Providing necessary cover during staff shortages and/or overtime situations in order to achieve flexibility within the distribution centre.
Numeracy and computer literacy is essential due to the use of our in-house stock management and order fulfilment systems that will make up a large part of the role.
A Fork-lift Driver’s Licence would be desirable but not essential as full training and certification will be provided.
The successful applicant must be flexible, and will be required to work 5 days out of 7, including weekends on a rotational basis.
The role reports to guitarguitar’s Logistics Team Leaders and Head Of Logistics.
