We are looking for an AI Platform Service Manager to deliver Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) tools and services. The postholder will report directly to the Head of Services but will have a significant degree of autonomy to realize the vision for the new platform.
This post is open-ended based at EDINA, University of Edinburgh. EDINA is a centre of digital expertise providing EdTech solutions to the education sector with a national and international reputation.
The post is hybrid with the postholder expected to be on campus in Edinburgh at least one day a week. We would prefer full-time working hours (35hrs per week); however, we are committed to offering flexible working options such as compressed hours or staggered start/finish times.

What the job involves:
* Owning and managing our new AI Platform.
* Eliciting and prioritizing the business requirements from university stakeholders to drive the ongoing technical work required.
* Promoting awareness and outreach support for the platform across the university.
A bit about you:
* A degree in a relevant discipline with a substantial level of relevant work experience and/or a proven record of service or product ownership.
* Significant experience of being a (digital platform) Service Manager, ideally with knowledge of current AI trends within higher education.
* Significant experience of online web-based services and modern technology stacks.
* Excellent written, IT, presentational, and supervisory skills. Proven management ability as the post will require activity management duties.
* Ability to work individually and as part of a team in a senior role.
* Good problem-solving ability and able to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability.
* Well-developed interpersonal skills to conduct effective internal and external relations.
