Our 16 Plus Team currently has an opportunity for a social worker to join them. The team works to achieve the best long-term outcomes for young people, supporting their transition into adulthood to be easier and manageable.
The successful applicant will be responsible for recruiting, visiting, and assessing prospective Supported Lodgings Hosts and When I am Ready providers. They will supervise, support, and facilitate training for a caseload of approved Supported Lodgings Hosts and When I am Ready providers. Additionally, they will analyze complex information gathered during supervision, prepare high-quality reports, and contribute to the review and management of Supported Lodgings Hosts and When I am Ready providers.
The service complies with the Social Services & Well Being (Wales) Act 2014 and prioritizes safeguarding vulnerable children and adults.
You will receive a robust induction, regular supervision, support, and mentoring. There are also opportunities for career development and promotion.
Bridgend local authority utilizes the Signs of Safety model, focusing on outcomes. Experience with this approach or a willingness to learn and demonstrate transferable skills is important. Comprehensive training in the Signs of Safety model will be provided.
