Contechs are recruiting on behalf of their client, known for manufacturing luxury hand-crafted motorcycles. They are looking for a Technical Program Manager to join their expanding team on a Permanent basis.
Job Description
As a Technical Program Manager, your main responsibilities are:
* Responsible for ensuring the planning and delivery of all Engineering activities for a project from concept through to launch.
* Ensure that the technical targets and requirements are clearly defined and agreed with all stakeholders, and then ensure these are delivered on time and to budget.
* Ensure Engineering Department deliverables, as defined in the Norton New Product Development (NPD) process, have agreed ownership and are delivered on time to the appropriate gateway requirements.
* Manage delivery of Engineering activities from either internal departmental resources or from third-party Engineering Service Providers (ESPs), depending on company strategy/resources.
* Compile Objective and Subjective Engineering targets documentation, including dynamic attributes, ergonomics, feature content, and mass.
* Ensure test and validation plans are appropriate to the program, including benchmarking, mule testing, and prototype validation.
* Develop and manage the Bill of Materials (BoM) for the program.
Qualifications / Skills Needed
* Foundation in Engineering, followed by Project Management Experience, ideally in a product development role, preferably in the automotive or motorcycle industry.
* Highly organized with excellent attention to detail across multiple workstreams.
* Experience in leading the interface between the Engineering delivery team and project management.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and programs, including Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
* Ability to present program delivery information clearly and concisely at a level appropriate to the target audience.
* Motorcycle industry experience (essential).
