Job Description Mechanical Technicians – Kirkbymoorside A fantastic opportunity has arisen for Mechanical Technicians to join a world-leading company at the forefront of their sector. Based in Kirkbymoorside, North Yorkshire, this role offers the chance to work on cutting-edge technologies The role offers a competitive salary and benefits including; Great Day Shift pattern – 8.30am to 4.30pm Mon-Thurs and 8.30am to 4pm Friday (flexi-time available). Enhanced holiday allowance Enhanced Pension contribution 5% Private Healthcare and Life Assurance The successful candidates will play a key role in assembling mechanical and hydraulic components, ensuring high-quality is maintained throughout production. This position involves: Mechanical assembly of all products. Load testing of all assembled products. Manufacturing and testing hydraulic hoses and pipework. Assembly, proof pressure, setup, and function testing of a wide range of subassemblies and tooling. Collaborating with other departments to meet project deadlines. Completing necessary documentation (quality requirements, timesheets, NCRs, ECNs, etc.). Performing workshop maintenance and ensuring high safety and housekeeping standards. What’s Required? Strong mechanical assembly skills, ideally suited to candidates with an automotive mechanic background. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Proficiency in using hand and power tools. A proactive attitude with the ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Willingness to learn through in-house training. Desirable Experience & Qualifications: Apprenticeship-trained in a mechanical discipline. 2–3 years’ post-apprenticeship experience. Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
