Full-time (37.5h) / 6 Months Fixed Term Contract (with potential to extend to 9 months)
Based in Islington, London
Greenpeace UK is an independent national/regional organisation within the global Greenpeace campaigning network, which acts to change attitudes and behaviour, to protect and conserve the environment and to promote peace.
Join Greenpeace as a Key Influencer Programme Manager and thrive in an exciting opportunity to build on your experience of creating and delivering collaborations with Key Influencers – realizing the potential for these relationships to produce significant change.
As Key Influencer Programme Manager within the Key Relationships department, you’ll have responsibility for developing strategic collaborations between Greenpeace and artists, actors, and other celebrities who have significant media profiles/social media followings in support of our campaigns, fundraising, and other organisational objectives.
You’ll be expected to deliver high-profile, creative, and exciting collaborations with Key Influencers (KIs), maintain strong relationships with our KI network, and find and approach potential new collaborators. Managing interns, freelance support, and agency contractors as appropriate, you’ll also engage with key colleagues around the organisation to advise on the best strategic use of KIs.
Location: Islington, London. Our hybrid working model enables us to enjoy the benefits of both office-based and remote working. We ask that staff work from the office in Islington 40% of their time, with 20% required as a minimum. Reasonable adjustments will be considered for those with long-term health conditions and disabilities.
Job requirements
You'll have:
1. Relevant experience working with KIs, delivering high impact KI collaborations and creating individual KI supporter journeys, strategies and stewardship plans that build retention, deepen engagement and communicate impact.
2. Deep understanding of relationship management, with proven ability to develop and deliver successful proposals and ‘asks’ by mail, email, telephone, and face-to-face.
3. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills, including the ability to write compelling content.
4. Ability to work on your own initiative but also to prioritise, project manage and oversee the work of others.
5. A commitment to Greenpeace’s aims and objectives and a passion for communicating our messages.
We give you:
You’ll be encouraged to develop both personally and professionally, taking advantage of the wide range of learning and development opportunities available to our staff. We offer great benefits such as a generous pension scheme, subsidised lunches, free yoga and a wealth of well-being resources, just to name a few.
Our commitment to diversity:
At Greenpeace UK we are committed to advancing diversity, inclusion, equity and becoming anti-racist. We acknowledge that people from certain backgrounds are under-represented in environmental and campaigning organisations and want to do all we can to correct this. In particular, we want to be more representative of Britain’s diversity at senior levels of GPUK. If you have the skills we need and are a person of colour, disabled, LGBTQIA, non-binary, have a mental health condition, or if you identify as working class now or in the past, we would welcome an application from you.
