Job Title: Lead Missile Mechanical Architect Salary: Circa £60,000 (depending on experience)
Stevenage or Bristol (Relocation package available)
Dynamic (hybrid) working: Typically 3 days per week on-site as per workload classification.

As a Mechanical Architect, you will play a pivotal role in all phases of missile development, from early feasibility studies to full production and in-service support. This is a great opportunity to lead the management of missile and subsystem requirements to achieve key performance goals, ensuring the overall missile layout and architecture meet cost and time constraints.
You will be responsible for leading design justification aspects, managing verification evidence to support missile certification, and ensuring functional and mechanical requirements are applied to sub-assemblies.
Lead the overall product structure, mechanical interfaces, and architecture
Serve as the focal point for all missile mechanical architecture issues
Ensure the implementation of generic policies such as modularity, re-use, and design for assembly
Provide technical management of suppliers, ensuring on-time, on-cost delivery
Degree-educated with significant industrial experience in electro-mechanical and mechanical design
Strong drive for on-time, on-cost, and on-quality project delivery
Familiarity with broader engineering fields, including Materials, Tolerancing, Configuration Control, Vibration, Shock, Fatigue, Six Sigma, Lean Design, Systems Engineering V-model, and DFMEA
