Job Description
Manage the production operation across two shifts to ensure the reliable, efficient, and compliant manufacturing of pharmaceutical products, in line with the production plan. Responsibilities include overseeing Oral Solid Dose (OSD) manufacturing and packaging operations, with additional oversight of other shift activities such as Warehouse and Engineering.
Collaborate with the Production Manager to contribute to the operational and strategic management of Production, developing and monitoring key production performance indicators, and implementing corrective, preventative, or continuous improvement activities to address any adverse trends.
Ensure that production operations are conducted in compliance with corporate standards, quality systems, GMP guidelines, and industry standards.
Key duties include:
* Maintaining a safe working environment and culture, ensuring all near-miss incidents and accidents are reported according to procedures.
* Assuring product quality through adherence to all procedures and fostering a quality mindset among all employees.
* Identifying and progressing opportunities to improve operations and reduce costs through continuous improvement initiatives.
* Prioritizing the company’s philosophy of care and health (hhc) in daily activities.
* Understanding and meeting the expectations of stakeholders and customers through effective communication.
* Ensuring performance aligns with personal and company objectives, demonstrating the required behaviors and competencies.
Requirements:
* Demonstrable leadership and people management skills.
* Demonstrated experience across a Pharmaceutical Packaging / Manufacturing function.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and communication links within EML (Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Warehouse & Technical).
* Demonstrates good organisational & time management skills and the ability to be agile depending on the schedule demands and unforeseen changes.
