Business Development Manager - local authority tenders Hybrid role - Preston
The Client
Operating across the North of England to help people regain control of their lives, providing hope and a sense of purpose, through the provision of Carers, Advocacy, Wellbeing, Counselling and Volunteering Services.
Role
We seek a passionate and driven business development specialist to expand the organisation’s reach through local authority tenders and grant applications. You will play a pivotal role in identifying funding opportunities, developing tender preparation strategies, and overseeing quality tender submissions. You will understand the need for high-quality local intelligence and know how to gather information from academic research and local stakeholder engagement. You will foster partnerships both inside and outside of the organisation.
Experience
• A minimum of 3 years experience in a Business Development role/or equivalent.
• Experience leading the tendering process, from managing tender portals through submission and handing over to the implementation team.
• An understanding of competitive tendering and experience producing competitive tenders across a range of formats/styles
• Experience managing tight timescales and progressing multiple tenders simultaneously.
• Experience gathering intelligence from a range of sources and applying it to the local tender
Other Circumstances
• To have use of a private vehicle and be able to travel.
• Flexible and able to undertake duties outside the hours Monday - Friday, 9am – 5pm.
