Job responsibilities
* Assist the patient in all activities of daily living, with both direct and indirect supervision as delegated by a registered nurse.
* Maintain patient comfort, dignity and privacy at all times.
* Prepare patients drinks, serve meals, and provide assistance as required.
* Assist in the emergency resuscitation of patients, following appropriate training.
* Escort patients to other areas and departments as per Trust escort protocol.
* Maintain high standards of care in an environment which promotes equality and sensitivity for all individuals.
Person Specification
Qualifications and role specific knowledge
* Good basic education
* Basic IT skills
* Completion of food hygiene course
* Completion of Unit induction pack
* Completion of Trust induction and mandatory training
* Completion of relevant E-Learning modules

* Physically capable of performing the role and responsibilities expected of the post holder e.g. manual handling of patients.
* Attend annual update and complete e-learning modules, as required in relation to manual handling.
