Detailed job description and main responsibilities This role will give you great job satisfaction as you will be able to give high standards of care to patients at a time when they are in need. You will work as a team to assist and perform clinical responsibilities as delegated by our qualified nursing staff, including though not limited to: Observing, monitoring and recording patients' conditions by taking temperatures, pulse, respirations, oxygen saturations and weight. As well as providing personalised care such as infection prevention and control, food, personal hygiene and overall reassurance, comfort and safety. Administrative duties such as answer the telephone, take messages and refer to the Staff Nurse for instructions, to take part as requested in ward/unit meetings, encouraging effective communications between other staff. Assisting with the undertaking and implementation of risk assessments Communicating with Staff, Patients, Relatives and Carers. Recognising and responding to situations within the work area and report to the nurse in charge while acknowledging your own limitations and seeking advice of senior staff as required.
