Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Hertfordshire / Hybrid
Salary: Up to £70,00 p/a (dependent on experience)

Are you an experienced QS or Senior QS with prior experience in large scale civils and utilities projects and looking for a fresh opportunity?
We have an exciting new opportunity with our client, an integrated design and delivery solution provider within the utilities sector.
They are looking for an experienced and ambitious Quantity Surveyor to work alongside the managing QS and assume responsibility for the commercial management of a range of projects.
Key duties:
* General quantity surveying duties in respect of managing projects and work packages.
* Liaise with design, construction and supply chain teams to understand, analyse and control cost.
* Engage in collaborative work with the client to ensure business requirements are met.
* Management of the main contract ensuring contractual notices and correspondence are identified and raised as necessary.
* Responsible for the preparation and issue of subcontract documentation.
* Assist in the management and performance of subcontractors.
* Manage the preparation and agreement of applications for payment.
* The preparation of project cost & value reports, budgets and forecasts.
* Assist in the management and development of training commercial staff.
* Ensure your own continuous professional development by participating in external networking, associations and conferencing to stay current on industry changes and innovations.
Requirements:
* Extensive experience on infrastructure projects.
* Previous work within utilities and specifically water sector projects would be advantageous.
* Working towards or already have chartered membership of a recognised institution.
* Relevant degree or equivalent commercial qualification.
* NEC3 or ICheme contract experience.
