Working hours: 20 hours per week, ideally over 3 or 4 days Duration: Permanent Location: Gloucester Job Ref: 203468 About the role Benefact Group are looking for a commercial/corporate Paralegal to join our Legal Team based in our Gloucester office on a part time, hybrid basis. As Paralegal you will play a key role in supporting our Legal Team in the provision of legal advice to the Group. Key responsibilities Provide legal support to the Legal Team by assisting in the preparation of legal documents and providing support for corporate transactions. Supporting the drafting, review and negotiation of contracts including NDAs, letters of variation/extension and terms and conditions. Supporting M&A transactions and other corporate advisory matters including conducting due diligence and drafting ancillary documents. Assisting with the management of our trademark portfolio by leading on the review of trademark watch notices and identifying potential conflicts. Undertaking legal research to assist in the provision of legal advice. Co-ordinating and facilitating the execution of leases in relation to the ongoing management of the Group’s investment property portfolio. Supporting the creation of standard business templates and the creation of know how. Promoting Legal to the wider business including the delivery of blog articles. Knowledge, skills and experience Law Degree, CILEX, relevant paralegal practice qualification or equivalent; or paralegal experience. Good knowledge and understanding of contract law and experience of drafting contractual documentation. Legal research skills and experience. A self-starter who is curious and willing to learn. A solution driven approach to providing legal advice and proactive with stakeholder engagement. A team player who will take on the everyday routine duties as well as the wider projects and initiatives to work to support the team's objectives. The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, and to prioritise your workload.
