SEN Teaching Assistant Additional Information: Hours: Monday - Friday (09:00 - 15:30) Salary: £83 - £90 Inclusive of 12.07% Holiday Pay Contract: Temp - Perm, Full-time (40 hrs per week, term time only) Location: Welwyn Garden City Start Date: ASAP Key Responsibilities of a SEN Teaching Assistant: - Student Support: Build warm, caring relationships to create a safe and enjoyable learning environment. - Promote Independence: Encourage personal growth and maintain high expectations of behaviour. - Educational Activities: Assist in delivering engaging and differentiated learning experiences. - Classroom Assistance: Support the Class Teacher in daily activities to ensure a smooth classroom operation. - Adaptability: Respond to the evolving needs of the school and take on varied tasks as needed. - Holistic Development: Foster the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of students. Skills and Qualifications of a SEN Teaching Assistant: - Education: Minimum Grade 4 or equivalent in GCSE Maths and English Language. - Safeguarding Knowledge: Understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures. - SEN Experience: Previous experience working with pupils with SEN is desirable. - Transportation: Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, or ability to commute to Welwyn Garden City. - Compliance: Must have Full-Time Right to Work status.
