Learning Coach\n \nHoop PS&HR are proud to working with on a Learning Coach opportunity with a well-known education organisation based in Cardiff. I am looking for a dedicated and empathetic Learning Coach to provide essential support to individuals, focusing on their wellbeing, safeguarding, and administration needs.\n\nThis is an ongoing temporary position that is suitable for someone who is immediately available and is looking for a role that will allow them to develop and progress their skills and experience further within the education sector.\n\nThe successful candidate will have a strong background in student wellbeing, mental health support, and safeguarding. This role involves working closely with students to ensure their needs are met, while also managing key administrative tasks related to student progress, safeguarding, and wellbeing interventions.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nProvide one-to-one and group support to students facing mental health difficulties, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and supported.\nAct as the first point of contact for the team and collaborate with different teams and external agencies to create and implement tailored support plans for students.\nSupport the creation of Wellbeing Service and Safety Plans for vulnerable and highly vulnerable students, ensuring their safety while promoting areas for personal growth.\nDeliver targeted interventions to manage stress, anxiety, and other mental health concerns, supporting students' overall wellbeing and resilience.
Alongside monitoring student progress and wellbeing.\nMaintain accurate and up-to-date records, tracking student progress, wellbeing, and safeguarding concerns. Alongside record data, create reports, and communicate with relevant stakeholders.\nWork alongside the wellbeing and inclusion teams to help foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment.\nBe part of the mental health first aid team, offering general advice and emotional support to students on a range of wellbeing issues.Requirements:\n\nMental Health First Aid Qualification (or equivalent).\nExperience in working within safeguarding frameworks.\nExperience in suicide prevention and supporting people at risk.\nStrong IT skills, including proficiency with data entry and record keeping systems.\nExperience within an educational setting supporting students with mental health challenges.\nExcellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.\nAbility to handle sensitive situations with professionalism, discretion, and empathy.\nExperience working with external agencies.\nKnowledge of trauma-informed approaches to education and support.\nPrevious experience in a similar role within a school, college, or university setting.This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to make a real impact with a focus on wellbeing and safeguarding.
