About the role:
Why we need you:
You'll join our Store Deployment team who look after the provisioning of services, equipment, and software for our retail stores across the UK and Ireland. You'll join a team of experts to shape and maintain H&B's portfolio of stores assisting with new stores, refits, and closures. The Store Deployment team work closely with the core verticals inside of the IT operations division. The retail verticals ensure successful delivery of our retail estate projects.
Holland and Barrett are on a mission to transform our our retail estate with an incredibly ambitious store refit programme over the next 12 months. This means your attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks will be essential to guarantee the smooth delivery of each store within readiness deadlines.
What you'll be doing:
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the estates, retail, and property teams to identify suitable locations for new retail stores.
* Develop comprehensive project plans outlining all tasks, timelines, and resources required for each deployment.
* Delivery of our technology driven articles to the H&B retail estate
* Coordinate with our vendors to ensure technology delivered is aligned with our brand identity and operational needs.
* Manage the procurement and delivery of all IT equipment (POS (point-of-sale), Tablet, Hand-Held Terminals etc) ensuring assets are tracked and ready for configuration ahead of deployments.
* Maintain a stock inventory of available deployment stock, with auditability of asset locations.
* Coordinate the setup of POS systems, inventory management software including various technology required for smooth store operations.
* Conduct inaugural inspections to ensure Tech is procured and operational.
* Manage the logistical aspects of store openings such as scheduling deliveries, coordinating installations, and monitoring snag lists.
* Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to store openings, including checklistsand timelines. Ensuring any issues encountered are promptly resolved.
* Provide ongoing support to store colleagues throughout the hypercare phase, troubleshooting ad-hoc issues which arise and facilitating the necessary communication between the relevent resolver teams.
* Gather the necessary feedback from various stakeholders prior to store launch dates by contributing to the continuous improvement suggestions to the Tech Support manager.
Our team is based primarily at the Holland and Barrett Nuneaton Head Quarters. However, on occasion duties may require travelling to H&B stores nationwide to assist with delivery and operational readiness.
Key requirements:
You'll have:
* Bachelors degree in Business, Retail Management, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* Proven experience in project coordination, preferably in the retail industry or related field.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
* Proven experience in vendor management.
* Attention to detail, with an emphasis on both accuracy and quality.
* Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly to evolving circumstances.
* Proficiency in project management tools and software. (Jira/Confluence).
* Ability to work proactively and independently to take ownership of tasks, as well as equally collaborating with the wider team.
* Flexibility to travel and the ability to work extended hours where necessary. Particularly during critical phases of deployments.
