Employment Solicitor
A law firm in the Bournemouth and Poole area require an experienced Employment Solicitor capable of running an existing case load with minimal supervision. The Employment Lawyer will have a solid history within Employment Law advising clients in both respondent and claimant matters.
The Employment Solicitor role will be focusing mainly on non-contentious work, advising on all aspects of employment law and HR matters. This includes:
1. Provision of legal advice and assistance to existing clients, whilst developing your own client base;
2. Working on claimant and respondent matters involving a varied case load;
3. Drafting and reviewing a range of documentation including employment contracts, settlement agreements and HR policies and procedures;
4. Advising clients on a wide range of issues including termination of employment, avoidance of discrimination claims and advice relating to potential tribunal claims;
5. Guiding employers through collective consultations, redundancy processes and the TUPE provisions.
The Candidate
The Employment Solicitor will have an excellent understanding of employment law and tribunal procedure whilst undertaking legal research and staying abreast of changes in the law and guidance. The Employment Lawyer will be well organised with strong drafting and negotiation experience. A strong grounding in all aspects of non-contentious and contentious employment law with proven PQE experience of advising on complex matters. Salary dependent upon experience.
