Job Description:
Group Scrum Master guiding and coaching team members in self-management and cross-functionality; emphasizing the importance of communication. Helping Scrum Team focus on creating high-value product increments that meet the 'Definition of Done'. Helping remove obstacles to Scrum Teams' progress (managing obstacle board reviews). Ensuring that all Scrum events take place and are positive, productive, and kept within the timebox. Helping stakeholders understand and enact an empirical approach for complex work (from tools and processes usage perspective i.e. change management 1 pager population).
Skills Required:
1. Evolving new ways to bridge between business tools and processes and Agile WoW.
2. Ensuring top-down and bottom-up sync between product groups and vehicle group for any activity.
3. Governing effective Product Goal definition and Product Backlog management.
4. Managing group Product Backlog and ensuring clear and concise Product Backlog items which are linked to stories/features/capabilities.
5. Facilitating stakeholder collaboration where necessary.
6. Preparation of vehicle team QBR memo in conjunction with SPM, Prog Chief and PGLs.
7. The Scrum Master is a servant leader and coach for the Agile Release Train (ART).
8. The GSM major responsibilities are to facilitate the ART events and processes and assist the teams in delivering value.
9. GSM's communicate with stakeholders, escalate impediments, help manage risk, and drive relentless improvement.
10. Guide team on introspection to continually improve agile ways of working.
11. Representing impediments to Programme/Vehicle Teams via Obstacle process (JIRA tickets).
12. Support with escalation in Obstacle Reviews.
13. Support the group in obstacle resolution i.e. helping removal of obstacles to Scrum Teams' progress.
14. Protects the Team from outside interference.
15. Conscience of Product Owner - Backlog creation and refinement, estimation, roadmap development and dependency alignment.
16. Helping stakeholders understand and enact an empirical approach for complex work (from tools and process usage perspective).
17. Assist in driving continuous improvement, transparency, and consistency amongst the teams ensuring clear and concise Product Backlog items which are linked to stories/features/capabilities.
18. Ensure that the group members know how to check that stories exist related to their MBIs and how to check the status/timing of them.
19. Review performance charts every sprint to pinpoint challenges.
20. Contributing to the delivery activities for my squad through planning and MBI assessments.
21. Promoting and soliciting timely change requests as required.
22. Facilitate Retrospective (improve team efficiency), Daily Stand-ups and Sprint Planning/Backlog refinement.
23. Ensure Group remains focused on meeting objectives.
24. Supporting/leading resolution of obstacles and align with other squads if necessary.
25. Ensure AGILE Ceremonies are scheduled.
26. Help coordinate showcase and make sure on time.
27. Prepare meeting materials for Group Sync meetings to ensure effective information flow to team members.
28. Support Squad(s) and Group Product Owner to run the BRP and Marketplace sessions effectively, including any preparation of presentation materials.
