There are four Project Director roles being sought:
1 x full time role leading the Loganlea Station Relocation (LSR) Project (contracted and in delivery)
1 x full time role leading Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail (LGC) Project - Rail Package (contracted and in delivery)
1 x full time role leading the New Albion Station (NAS) Project (in planning and procurement phase)
1 x full time role leading the Beerburrum to Nambour Rail Upgrade (B2N) Project (contracted and in delivery)
Project Director roles for major rail projects in RIDO are senior leadership positions responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational aspects of procuring and delivering major rail infrastructure projects. You will lead your Project though the procurement and or delivery phase and ensure project benefits and outcomes are delivered in a safe and integrated way on time and within budget, adhering to the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance, while also managing stakeholder requirements and expectations.
You will be responsible for leading and managing allocated project resources, including consultants and contractors, across a multi-disciplinary team. This includes delivery, commercial, engineering and assurance, communications and engagement and project support functions. During the delivery phase of projects, you will be required to lead the effective management of major rail infrastructure contracts - refer below for further information of status of projects and contract form.
An ideal candidate would have substantial experience in the rail industry, strong project leadership skills, and the ability to navigate complex contractual and regulatory environments.
Mandatory Experience
Extensive experience in the delivery of rail projects in brownfield environments
Demonstrated project leadership and management skills.
Comprehensive knowledge of rail industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
Desirable Experience
Extensive experience in rail project management, with a proven track record of successful delivery of complex rail infrastructure projects.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Commerce or related field; master's degree/MBA, relevant advanced certification (such as PMP or another recognised project management qualification) or Chartered Engineer or equivalent, highly regarded.
Financial and commercial acumen, with experience in project accounting, budget management, cost control and procurement processes.
Experience in various contracting models, including alliances and collaborative design and construct and constructions contracts.
Experience working on government-funded projects (delivery/contractor or client side).
