Position: Registered Manager
Location: Carlisle, UK
Type: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £57,000 per annum
We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to oversee a children's registered home in Carlisle. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled individual to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and lead a team of care staff, ensuring high-quality care is provided to all residents
2. Develop and implement care plans, ensuring they are regularly reviewed and updated
3. Maintain compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations
4. Work closely with external agencies and professionals to provide the best possible care for residents
5. Manage budgets and resources effectively
6. Conduct regular staff appraisals and identify training needs
7. Ensure the home is a safe and nurturing environment for all residents
8. Monitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the home
9. Promote and maintain positive relationships with residents, their families, and the wider community
10. Attend meetings and provide regular reports to senior management
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Registered Manager within a children's residential setting
2. NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Children and Young People or equivalent qualification
3. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
4. Excellent leadership and management skills
5. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage conflicting priorities
6. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
7. A compassionate and caring nature
8. Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
