Our client is a large private sector organisation with 5000+ staff spread across Greater London. They have been a victim of their success and as such have grown faster than their organisation has had the chance to upskill and organise their workforce and leaders.
As part of the group HR re-organisation, we are seeking a team of HR Business Partners initially with the ability to get on top of Employee Relations cases, identify the training needs that come from these cases and deal with root causes to problems. Delivering training and workshops to managers and employees on employee relations topics, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. This will take up a significant part of the role in the early days.
In addition, you will then focus on the “day job”:
* Create and build a best in class HR practice
* Working in a full cradle to grave position encompassing every part of the employee journey
* Streamline processes with local adjustments
* Recruitment of staff from entry level to executive
* Solid understanding of HR practices and legal requirements for the business
Experience and skills:
* Advanced skills in conflict resolution and negotiation, with the ability to mediate complex employee relations issues tactfully and effectively.
* Experience of developing positive and effective working relationships with Trade Unions.
* Ability to foster strong relationships with employees at all levels, promoting open communication and trust.
* High level of integrity and good ethical judgement with the ability to maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times.
* Strong attention to detail, to be process-driven and have good organisational skills with an amazing ability to multitask and prioritise on the fly.
This role is a mix of office days in Croydon and days on site with the managers and employees. You must be flexible to travel locally as required.
